The Auglaize & Mercer Counties Convention & Visitors Bureau

The Auglaize & Mercer Counties Convention & Visitors Bureau is a two-county non-profit organization.  The purpose of the Bureau is to promote tourism and to attract tourists and conventions to Auglaize and Mercer Counties.

Tourism is the third largest industry in the state with more than half a million Ohioans employed in the hospitality industry. The Auglaize & Mercer Counties Convention & Visitors Bureau recognizes the economic impact of tourism and works to improve that aspect of economic development for the two-county area.  The CVB accomplishes this through marketing and tourism information services.

The lake Campus of Wright State University, located on 173 scenic acres on the north shore of beautiful Grand Lake St. Marys between Celina and St. Marys, is an excellent option. Easily accessible to the residents of Auglaize, Mercer, Van Wert, Shelby, Allen, and Darke counties. The Lake Campus enables students to maintain ties to local communities and families. With an enrollment of about 900 students and an average class size of 15 it is also a good option for students who prefer a smaller school.  The Lake campus is a commuter school offering numerous associate, bachelors, and master’s degrees, plus a variety of general education courses and prep professional and certificate programs.  The Lake Campus also participates in the Ohio Transfer Module, which simplifies transferring credits to other universities.
